🎉 End-of-Year Celebration: Coming Up! 🎉

Mark your calendars—our End-of-Year Celebration is happening on Thursday, June 5th from 5:30–8:30 PM! Join us for an evening of family fun to celebrate an amazing school year.

🎯 Inflatables: 2-lane obstacle course and 2-lane giant slide! 
🎯 Professional Face Painting
🎯 Motley Zoo (cuddle with adorable rescue animals! 5$ suggested donation to support Motley Zoo)

🎯 Carnival Games
🎯 Splash Pad and water games (weather dependent) 
🍿 Popcorn & Cotton Candy (free with purchase of a wrist band)
🚚 Delicious Food Trucks

There is no cost for admission to the event. However wrist bands will be required to access the inflatables and for popcorn and cotton candy (each wristband is good for one popcorn and one cotton candy).

🎉 We’re collecting mini toys, party favors, fidget toys, and fast food prizes for our End-of-Year Carnival Celebration!
If you’ve got extras at home, we’d love to reuse them as prizes for our school carnival games.

📸 We'd also love any fun photo props we could use for the photo booth—think silly glasses, hats, boas, or signs.

🎁 Please drop all donations in the collection box in the front office. Thank you for helping us make this event extra fun for our students!

Author, Lily LaMotte, is Coming to Ella Baker! 

Ella Baker welcomes Author, Lily LaMotte, on Friday, April 4th.  PTSA is excited to sponsor this event.  

Lily LaMotte is a debut author of the funny and heart-warming graphic novel, Measuring Up, which explores family love, self-identity, embracing diversity and more.  Her other books include Unhappy Camper, and a picture book, Chloe’s Lunar New Year.   

Our school is partnering with Brick & Mortar Books for families to order their own signed copies of these books. Order deadline has been extended to Thursday, March 27th.  If you missed the previous deadline, there is another chance.  Link for Ordering: https://brickandmortarbooks.com/resources/lily-lamotte-school-visits

MATH CHALLENGE TOURNAMENT - RETURNING TO ELLA BAKER IN APRIL!

Exciting news!  This year, our school is hosting the National Math Challenge Tournament in person once again. This exciting event provides a valuable and fun opportunity for our young students to show case their skills in a variety of math topics.  Math Challenge Tournament® is a National Mathematics tournament open to Grade 2 – 5 students.  Students in Grade 1 can participate; however, they will be competing at a grade 2 level, division 2.  This tournament is open to students in all 50 states.

Hello 5th grade families!

Every year, our yearbook team creates a page with baby photos of our 5th graders.  If you'd like to participate, please submit a baby photo of your 5th grader with their first and last name as the file name.

Attention all artists!

We need your help designing the Ella Baker 2024-2025 yearbook cover.  Submit your designs by March 31 to the front office.  The winner's artwork will be featured as the cover of this year's yearbook.

• Please create your design on an 8.5x11" sheet of white paper

• Write your full name and grade on the BACK of the sheet

• Designs can be full color

• All entries are due Monday, March 31 to the front office
